Wellness Retreats are Back and with High Demand, nationally and internationally
Hotel Brands are increasingly investing on this international segment that favours our country.
We are in the key moment of the Hotel Brands’ strategy readjustment, whether these hotels are settled in the city, countryside or beach – the integration of the Wellness segment in its positioning, value proposition and sale, is now a priority and, increasingly, a reality.
The Post Pandemic led to a great urge to rebalance emotions, refocus the mind, detoxify the body and seek greater meaning for Life, Relationships and Career. As a result of this need, there are many retreats that run out in two weeks following the launch. Local participants, for the proximity and quality offer, international ones, who seek the security as well as all the ex-cellent characteristics of our country.
Some Great Examples:
Casa Palmela:
A charming unit, part of Small Luxury Hotels of the World and Tailor Made portfolio, has two retreats of 4 days each in October and November: “From the Wilderness to the Art of Living” that brings together Ayurveda & Yoga. Organized by Veda Wellness Retreats with Therese Skovgaard Poulsen and Dr.Sujatha Kekada.
Villa Epicurea
An Eco-Hotel inspired by the philosophy of the garden of Epicurus, a refuge in the Serra da Arrábida, which captivates for its unpretentious refinement and absolutely sustainable solutions. In October, it will host the Retreat “Re-discovering Harmony – with the 4 elements” which brings together Yoga, Meditation, Hiking and Time, organized by Liquid Wellbeing, Teresa Barata.
EcorkHotel

Still in October, we also highlight the Soul Wisdom Retreat, organized by Satya Founder of Working With Satya. Albufeira de Castelo do Bode is recognized for its sustainability assets and for being a magical place.
November starts with two editions of the 5-day “Wild Spirit” Retreat organized by Kalid, Founder of Injoy, whose first edition sold out practically in the releasing week. It is one of the most renowned retreats in Portugal. It takes place at Monte Velho Ecoresort – Carrapateira, an absolutely breathtaking place.
We believe in real evidence that the world is changing, and that this self-knowledge and inner work is at the top of people’s priorities, no matter na-tionality, believes or other differences, because our needs as Human Beings are the same.
As Ambassadors of the Global Wellness Institute in Portugal, ABC Luxury Sustainable Hospitality has been putting all its efforts on growing awareness on this asset and its integration as a worthy segment in the national Hotel and Tourism industry.
