Wellness Weekend: An event with purpose
Wellness Weekend – Tomar June 14th and 15th 25 – Mata Nacional dos Setes Montes
Ana Beatriz’s testimonial
On June 14th and 15th, the 4th Wellness Weekend was held in Tomar – an event organized by ADIRN, the Rede de Turismo e Bem-Estar, and supported by the Tomar City Council, in which the ABC Hospitality team, represented by me, and our People & Talent Manager, Alexandra Outeiro, had the great pleasure of taking part.
We made a point of writing this article and sharing our testimony because we believe that we must praise the tireless work done by a team with limited resources, represented by Jorge Rodrigues and Kateline Santos, and the mission behind organizing an incredible event at a price accessible to all budgets. Gratitude.

Various spaces, various opportunities for well-being
The venue, the Mata Nacional dos Sete Montes, is idyllic and has some of the best energy in the city center of Tomar. With nature as far as the eye can see, it’s an authentic, enchanted garden that inspires disconnection.

On arrival, we found several exhibitors selling various local, regional, and holistic products. Once in the forest, we come across several places where we can eat and drink in a healthy and tasty way.
We move on to find the Zen Chill-Out space, which hosts various free musical events and book presentations; the Sustainability Space, where interesting projects and workshops are presented; and the Arts Space, featuring creative workshops.
There is also a Kids Space, which, in addition to being a support for all parents, offers a connection for this new generation with their internal development. After all, the earlier it starts, the better prepared children will be for adult life.

Therapies for everyone
The ticket included more than 20 activities and therapies per day – from active meditation, yoga, and family constellations to many more – with unique times and places, facilitated by incredible people. Alexandra Outeiro and I had the opportunity to participate in some of them and enjoyed unforgettable moments of inner connection.
There was also the possibility of individual therapies and massages, which were paid for separately.

Root Woman Meditation
One of the highlights of the event on June 14 was the “Root Woman” work with Adília Ferreira – a chilling meditation in a group of around 20 women to the sound of one of the most wonderful and therapeutic voices in one of the Mata’s edenic spaces, the Grotto, whose image refers to the feminine depths. Gratitude, Adília.

Each time I took part, I felt another step, another understanding of my body and confirmation that this is the gift we must cultivate and motivate others to start and/or never give up. It is a personal honor to be there and to collaborate towards a purpose that has always moved me on this earth: to Unite Many for the Common Good.

Testimonial – Alexandra Outeiro
This Wellness Weekend reminded me of one essential thing: you can’t keep time in your pocket!
We live on the run, as if we were always short of time, space, and presence. And yet, when we decide to organize ourselves with time, when we intentionally stop to listen to ourselves and be with ourselves, something magical happens.

And I was reminded of something very simple: we often say “I don’t have time”, as if time were something you kept in your pocket. But nobody has time. You don’t have time. Time IS. 24 hours, every day. The same for everyone.

The difference lies in how we choose to use that time. When we decide to organize our time and truly connect with ourselves, something magical happens: we reconnect with ourselves. And from then on, everything changes.
That’s what I experienced.
I discovered that when you give your body time, it responds. When we offer time to silence, it reveals itself. When you provide your soul time, it blossoms.
It wasn’t a Luxury. It was a Reminder. That balance isn’t found in the calendar – it’s found in the way we choose to live. That health is a whole (physical, mental, emotional and spiritual), and that taking care of ourselves is an act of courage, not selfishness. That, deep down, time well lived is what expands us the most.
I therefore carry with me the certainty that stopping is part of the journey. And that well-being begins when we simply allow ourselves to be!
